Job description

Registered Veterinary Technician

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Liberty Pet Hospital in Powell, Ohio!

Location: 8730 Moreland St F Ste F, Powell, OH 43065

Salary: $20-25/ hour, depending on experience

We're dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for dogs and cats through routine wellness, urgent care, surgery, dental services, diagnostics, and more. With a focus on building lifelong relationships with pets and their families, we strive to deliver exceptional customer service and advanced medical care in a friendly, supportive environment.

Who You Are:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Ohio, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
  • 2 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
  • Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Dental Experience, scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs
  • Skilled in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
  • Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Confident with medical math and drug calculations
  • Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
  • Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
  • And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
