Who We Are

Utility Pipeline Ltd. (UPL) is a Natural Gas distribution management company. We operate and maintain Natural Gas service for several Utilities and Cooperatives throughout Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. UPL offers a full range of services in the natural gas industry including engineering, installing, maintaining, and operating natural gas distribution systems, all upheld to the highest standards in the industry.

Job Summary

Utility Pipeline Ltd. is searching for a Natural Gas Utility Technician who would primarily operate in Knox, Morrow, and Richard Counties, as well as surrounding areas in Ohio. The ideal candidate would be located near the Mount Vernon, OH area. This person would work remotely and report directly to job sites after training. They will report to nearby offices as needed. Experience in gas distribution, construction, or a related field is a plus. This is a full-time position with benefits. Come join the team if you are interested in diverse daily tasks!

General Responsibilities

  • Respond to various work orders
  • Line locating
  • Leak surveys, inspections, and compliance-related tasks
  • Annual maintenance of pipelines and facilities
  • Install and remove meters
  • Meter reading and install ERTs
  • Install pipelines, taps, and services
  • Oversee and inspect sub-contractors on assigned projects
  • Maintain company vehicle and equipment
  • Complete necessary paperwork for daily tasks
  • On-call rotation/emergency call outs

Job Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 1+ years of related experience preferred but not required
  • Valid and clean driver’s license
  • Willing and able to pass a drug and alcohol test (pre-employment and random)
  • Willing to complete required online training and pipeline safety training programs
