Overview:
Engagement Type

Key Responsibilities:
Design
Projects: Create interactive prototypes for websites and design system
components and patterns. Refine designs based on user testing, feedback,
and usability data. Iterate on components and patterns to ensure optimal
user experiences.
Design
Leadership: Guide external designers, promoting our user experience
philosophy, guidelines, and best practices for design system components.
Foster a
Culture of Collaboration and Feedback: Provide design reviews and gather
feedback from both internal and external teams to ensure design excellence
and alignment.
Ensure
Accessibility and Inclusivity: Advocate for inclusive design practices,
ensuring that the system adheres to accessibility standards and meets the
needs of diverse users.
Assist with Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the design system,
including component guidelines, usage instructions, and best practices to
support designers and developers.
Design System
File Ownership & Maintenance: Maintain and evolve our design system in
Figma, keeping components, patterns, and documentation up to date.Required/Desired Skills
Skill Required/Desired Amount of Experience Professional UX design experience Required 2.0 Years Portfolio demonstrating interaction design, prototyping, and component design work Required Proficiency in Figma Required Understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices Required Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions Required Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams (developers, other designers) Required Experience with user testing and iterative design processes Required Familiarity with design systems and component-based design thinking Highly desired Experience working with accessibility standards (WCAG, inclusive design) Highly desired Understanding of design tokens or design system tooling Highly desired
