Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Accounts Payable Clerk for our client. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting daily accounting operations.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Match vendor invoices to purchase orders, receivers, packing lists, and pricing documentation.
- Enter vendor invoices accurately into the ERP system.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and credit memos.
- Process employee expense reports and driver invoices.
- Prepare weekly ACH payments and check runs.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status.
- Maintain accurate vendor files and accounting records.
- Reconcile invoices and supporting documentation to ensure payment accuracy.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and other accounting functions as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial tasks as assigned.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience processing invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
- Knowledge of three-way matching (purchase orders, receipts, and invoices).
- Experience preparing ACH and check payments.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving and reconciliation skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills for vendor interactions.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
