Job description

High School Intervention Specialist – Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year

We're partnering with a supportive Ohio school district to hire a dedicated High School Intervention Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year. If you're passionate about helping students succeed academically and socially while working alongside a collaborative special education team, we'd love to connect with you!

Position Details

  • Position: High School Intervention Specialist
  • Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
  • New Staff Start Date: August 13, 2026
  • Assignment End Date: May 28, 2027
  • Daily Hours: Start at 7:15 AM
    • Three days per week: 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM
    • Two days per week: 7:15 AM – 2:30 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction and academic support to high school students with mild to moderate disabilities.
  • Deliver services through a combination of inclusion and pull-out support based on student needs.
  • Facilitate a supported study hall for students requiring additional academic assistance.
  • Develop and implement IEPs while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success.

Caseload

  • Approximately 20 students (within state guidelines).

Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License
  • Appropriate Mild/Moderate licensure for the high school level
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
  • Previous high school special education experience is preferred but not required
