Job description

Job Title: Senior IT Business & Service Delivery Analyst
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior IT Business & Service Delivery Analyst to act as the primary bridge between our business stakeholders and our technical service providers. You will be accountable for defining, documenting, and delivering high-impact IT initiatives while ensuring that our service providers remain aligned with our performance metrics and contractual obligations.
This is a "driver" role for an analyst who is not just a documenter, but a strategic partner. You will be responsible for measuring the business value of IT services, proactively identifying risks, and championing continuous improvement initiatives across our application portfolio. If you are a technically savvy professional who excels in matrixed environments, manages budgets with precision, and is comfortable presenting data-driven insights to leadership, this is an excellent opportunity to impact our organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Requirements
• Business-to-IT Translation: Translate high-level business objectives into clear technical requirements, functional specifications, and user stories. Ensure full alignment between business partners, technical teams, and external service providers.
• Service Delivery Oversight: Monitor IT service performance against agreed-upon SLAs and KPIs. Act as a steward of contractual obligations, ensuring that vendor deliverables meet both technical and financial standards.
• Process Excellence: Deeply analyze our application landscape, data flows, and system architecture to identify gaps. Champion continuous improvement practices to streamline operations and enhance system value.
Risk, Budget & Performance
• Financial Stewardship: Manage IT budgets and forecasts with a focus on financial acumen. Analyze spending trends and communicate these findings to key business stakeholders to support long-range planning.
• Risk & Issue Management: Assess the business impact of technical risks, escalate critical issues for timely resolution, and proactively propose solutions to prevent operational disruption.
• Performance Reporting: Develop dashboards and executive summaries that provide clear visibility into the "health" of IT services, focusing on business value, quality, and responsiveness.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a business-related discipline.
• Experience Baseline: 7-9 years of professional experience in an IT Business Analysis or Service Delivery role.
• Technical/Domain Awareness: High-level understanding of enterprise IT architectures, integration points, and modern software development/deployment lifecycles.
• Professional Proficiency: Expert proficiency in requirements elicitation, documentation, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Attributes
• Proven ability to operate in a metrics-based management environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong "Contractual IQ"-you understand how to hold service providers accountable to SLAs and contractual terms.
• Excellent facilitation skills-you are comfortable presenting complex technical/financial data to non-technical executives.
