Under the leadership of the Senior Director for Student Success in the College of Pharmacy Academic Affairs unit, the Senior Career Counselor is primarily responsible for the development and execution of student-centered career development and services for PharmD and graduate students. The Senior Career Counselor will strategically lead career-related activities by engaging with college and external stakeholders to identify professional, and graduate students unique needs to create and maintain career-related resources. This role is also responsible for serving as the liaison with departments and across the university. The specialist will also lead the development and management of employer relations, as well as the planning and implementation of career fairs and other career services- related events. In addition, this position will provide career advising to PharmD and graduate students in the college through individual appointments as well as presentations and also develop, execute, and evaluate the career-focused curricular and co-curricular courses, content, and programming.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. At least 4 years of experience working with career focused programs and students.
Desired Qualifications: Master's degree in higher education, student affairs/personnel, or related field is desired due to teaching responsibilities of position. Familiarity with employment landscape for pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.
Additional Information:
The pay range for this job profile is $51,500 - $67,250. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
The College of Pharmacy believes in a healthy work/life balance, therefore, the work arrangement for this position is hybrid (i.e., remote and in-office), subject to change based upon the needs of the organization and as determined by College Leadership.
