Job description

Job Summary:
JPMorganChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals. As an Agility Senior Associate in Banking Payments, you will support teams through the product development lifecycle, driving collaboration and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence by guiding development teams in adopting agile practices and ensuring priority work is refined and ready for upcoming sprints.
• Ensure the team always has enough priority work that is refined and ready to work on over the next 2-3 sprints (avoids team building un-defined/under-defined work, leading to rework)
• Track and manage team-level dependencies for the current and upcoming sprints so the team can stay focused on delivery
• Sustain team tools and standards by ensuring data hygiene, proper processes, and controls; prepare end-of-sprint demo materials for review with Product leaders; and measure and enable agility outcomes using CCB-defined metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Capture and drive team improvement actions each sprint to promote speed, efficiency, and collaboration by streamlining workflows and removing obstacles.
• Enhance team collaboration and development by facilitating retrospectives, planning sessions, and creating plans for learning and delivery practice training.
• Drive and enable key scrum cadences—including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective—tailored to team maturity, while also leading preparation, collaboration, and follow-up actions for Product-wide quarterly planning in partnership with the PAL to enhance team practices, efficiency, and alignment.
• Guide and support teams through the product development lifecycle by applying agile principles and practices, providing training and mentorship, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment through group discussions and collaborative activities.
• Ensure team delivery data is maintained at high quality in Jira and that core agility metrics (Backlog Health, Churn, Velocity, Say vs. Do) are continuously targeted and improved.
• Prioritize tasks, manage resources, and maintain open communication channels to achieve project goals and departmental objectives, collaborating with experienced professionals and managers to ensure alignment with established policies and standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on coaching teams and individuals on agile methodologies and project management
• Experience managing and developing individual contributors
• Possess advanced knowledge of multiple product development lifecycle stages, methodologies, and best practices, enabling effective guidance and support
• Display advanced knowledge of agile delivery and multiple agile approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, monitoring agility metrics; with the ability to guide teams through complex projects, emphasizing iterative progress and adaptability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on team collaboration
Preferred:
• Formal training on Agile coaching, such as recognized coaching certifications
• Recommended skills include but are not limited to: agile delivery, business acumen, change management, continuous improvement, coaching, internal stakeholder management, strategic thinking, self-study, verbal communication, adaptability, and decision making
