Job description

Job Purpose:
- The Personal Care Aide - Floater at LIFECARE ALLIANCE is responsible for performing personal care and homemaker services as determined by a nurse’s assessment of the client’s needs. This role involves providing respite and private duty care, ensuring clients receive the necessary support and assistance to maintain their well-being and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks according to the client care plan, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Accurately take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, and weight, as part of the client’s health monitoring.
- Provide in-home care services, drawing on a minimum of 2 years of experience in either private duty or facility care.
- Utilize a 60-hour training or state-tested nursing license to deliver high-quality care.
- Adapt to various client needs and environments as a floater, offering flexible and reliable support across different locations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is provided to each client.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in the client’s condition.
- Uphold the standards and values of LIFECARE ALLIANCE, ensuring compassionate and respectful service to all clients.

Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of in-home care experience, either in private duty or in a facility setting
- Completion of a 60-hour training program or possession of a state-tested nursing license
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in assisting clients with personal hygiene according to individualized care plans
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, and weight
- Strong understanding of personal care and homemaker services based on a nurse’s assessment
- Capability to provide respite and private duty care with professionalism and empathy
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care plans meticulously
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a home care setting
