We're seeking an experienced Higher Education Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital projects supporting academic, research, student life, and campus infrastructure initiatives. Client Details Our client is a well-respected and established General Contractor in Columbus with over 50 years of success across multiple market sectors. Known for its training and development programs, this GC has several high-profile hospital projects coming up and is looking for an experienced leader to manage them. Description Higher Education Project Manager - Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of higher education capital projects from inception through occupancy. Manage relationships with university leadership, faculty, staff, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Monitor project scope, budgets, schedules, and risks, implementing proactive solutions to keep initiatives on track and aligned with institutional goals. Oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with university standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable building codes. Coordinate campus project activities to minimize disruption to academic operations, research functions, student services, and campus life while maintaining quality and safety standards. Profile Higher Education Project Manager - Successful Candidate Profile: 5+ years of capital project, facilities, construction, or project management experience within higher education, institutional, or complex commercial environments. Experience managing campus development, academic, research, student housing, or infrastructure projects preferred. Strong understanding of project delivery methods, construction practices, facility operations, and stakeholder coordination. Ability to review and interpret project plans, specifications, contracts, budgets, and schedules. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with university leadership, faculty, staff, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders. Job Offer The Higher Education Project Manager will be offered: Base salary: $110,000-$135,000 Bonus: $12,500-$20,000 annually (project/profit-based).
