This role will support, optimize, and expand the use of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to enable efficient, scalable, and well-governed business processes. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders and end users to understand operational challenges, identify improvement opportunities, define future-state processes, and deliver solutions that support business objectives.

The Oracle Supply Chain Functional Lead will serve as the functional expert for Oracle EBS supply chain capabilities including Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Demand Planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Inventory Management, Procurement, Supply Planning, and adjacent manufacturing and operational processes. This individual will bridge business and technology teams, ensuring solutions align with operational requirements while supporting enterprise scalability, data quality, and continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Strategy

  • Serve as the primary IT liaison for Supply Chain, Operations, Planning, Procurement, and Inventory Management functions.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and operational challenges.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Oracle EBS solutions and practical process improvements.
  • Participate in roadmap development for Oracle applications and supporting technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, process visibility, and decision-making capabilities.

Oracle Functional Leadership

  • Act as the functional subject matter expert for Oracle EBS supply chain modules and related business processes.
  • Support and enhance processes associated with S&OP, Demand Planning, MRP, Inventory Management, Supply Planning, Procurement, Bills of Material, Work in Process, and Order Management.
  • Lead solution design workshops and requirements gathering sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Define system configuration requirements and collaborate with technical developers when extensions, integrations, or customizations are required.
  • Evaluate Oracle standard functionality and recommend configuration-led solutions whenever practical.

Project & Solution Delivery

  • Lead functional workstreams for Oracle-related projects, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create business process maps, functional specifications, user stories, test scenarios, and user acceptance testing plans.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and business validation activities to ensure solutions meet operational requirements.
  • Support Oracle upgrades, enhancements, integrations, reporting improvements, and stabilization activities.

Operational Support

  • Provide Level 2/3 functional support for Oracle EBS supply chain processes and related business issues.
  • Investigate and resolve business process and application issues in partnership with technical teams and vendors.
  • Monitor recurring issues, identify root causes, and develop sustainable corrective actions.
  • Document support patterns and recommend improvements that reduce manual work and avoid repeat issues.

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Analyze existing planning, inventory, procurement, and supply chain processes and identify opportunities for optimization or automation.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, configuration documentation, and governance materials.
  • Champion best practices across planning, inventory, procurement, and supply chain execution processes.
  • Support data governance initiatives related to item masters, planning parameters, inventory controls, and supply chain reporting.
  • Establish or support KPIs and metrics to measure process effectiveness and system utilization.

Training & Change Management

  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops for business users.
  • Support adoption of new processes, system capabilities, and reporting improvements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to operational teams during process, organizational, and technology changes.

Position Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience supporting ERP systems within manufacturing, supply chain, planning, procurement, or inventory environments.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle EBS functional experience.
  • Proven experience supporting complex supply chain processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and business process improvement initiatives.
