Ohio Department of Public Safety - Ohio State Highway Patrol

Report in Location: 1970 W Broad Street, Columbus 43223

Working days and hours may vary

Shift May Be 

7am - 3pm, 

3pm - 11pm, 

OR 11pm - 7am 

(depending on seniority bid)

What You'll Do as a Security Officer 1

  • Maintain the security of the Charles D. Shipley building & grounds.

  • Monitor persons entering & leaving facility, providing access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to inquiries by telephone &/or in person & record such actions in the appropriate log.
  • Control access to facilities & surrounding grounds by operating remote access electronic doors & security gates.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras.

Formal education that includes reading, writing & speaking English. Positions making security rounds in vehicle require valid driver's license.
