Job description

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking an exceptional, highly motivated candidate for a Lead System Administrator (Infrastructure Specialist 4) position within our Information Technology Services section. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The headquarter location is 30 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH

The successful candidate will perform the following duties, which include but are not limited to:

-Lead a team of System Admins by providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.

-Assign tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery of systems/storage-related projects and operations.

-Serve as the primary contact for systems/storage-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with all relevant stakeholders.

-Proactively identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, such as systems/storage maintenance, backups, or performance monitoring, to improve team efficiency.

-Anticipate potential risks to systems/storage (e.g., security vulnerabilities, capacity issues) and take preemptive measures to mitigate them before they

become critical problems.

-Monitor system health and performance by conducting regular checks, analyzing metrics, and addressing issues to ensure optimal systems/storage functionality, availability, and reliability.

-Prepare, test, and validate deployment scripts to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and rollback readiness.

Completion of undergraduate core program or associate degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience, and minimum 8 yrs. combined work experience in network, database, server, or storage administration. 
-Or 2 years of exp. as an Infrastructure Specialist 3; 
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
