Job description

Anduril Industries is redefining defense manufacturing by integrating AI, software, and hardware into mission-critical solutions. We are seeking a Systems Administrator to own the deployment, maintenance, and support of software and tools across our manufacturing lines. This role blends traditional system administration with elements of network administration, focusing on ensuring production systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for factory operations. You'll collaborate with engineers, operators, and cybersecurity experts to keep our manufacturing environment running smoothly at scale.

What You'll Do
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain hardware, servers, and software systems across the manufacturing line while managing their full lifecycle, including provisioning, updates, tracking, and retirement.
  • Design, configure, and support network infrastructure-switches, VLANs, routing, wireless, and segmentation-to ensure reliable, low-latency connectivity for production environments.
  • Build, harden, and maintain physical and virtual servers for manufacturing applications, ensuring performance, security, and high availability.
  • Monitor system, server, and network performance across the factory floor, proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact production throughput or on-time manufacturing.
  • Support deployment and integration of factory stations, endpoints, and production equipment, coordinating with engineering and operations to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
  • Implement security controls, access management, and compliance standards across servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues in time-sensitive manufacturing environments and provide clear updates to stakeholders.
  • Document deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides, while recommending improvements that increase scalability, reliability, and factory efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years as a Systems or Network Administrator in manufacturing, industrial, or high-throughput environments, with strong experience managing servers, endpoints, and production equipment.
  • Ability to work second shift; 3PM - 11PM
  • Proficiency in Windows/Linux system administration, including server buildout, virtualization, imaging, and endpoint lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on expertise configuring and troubleshooting network components such as switches, firewalls, VLANs, routing, DNS, and VPN services.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, server, and networking issues in fast-paced, production-critical environments.
  • Experience with asset tracking, configuration management, and maintaining accurate inventories of deployed hardware and systems.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, including access controls, endpoint hardening, and secure network design.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey system status, risks, and updates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting MES, ERP, or factory software platforms, as well as OT networks, PLCs, or SCADA systems.
  • Background in designing or supporting hybrid IT/OT network architectures, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), or containerized environments.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or SCCM for server or system deployment and configuration.
  • Experience with asset management platforms, CMDBs, or reliability engineering practices like redundancy and failover planning.
  • Relevant certifications such as Server+, Azure Administrator, CCNA, or ITIL.
**Travel**

This role is expected to have a travel requirement of 25% depending on location. Potentially internationally as well.
