Position Summary

Reporting to the Marketing & Brand Manager, the Marketing & Events Specialist owns Gifthealth's yearly end-to-end conference and events program across the gastroenterology and pharma manufacturer spaces, overseeing logistics, vendor coordination, sponsorship dashboards, and sales team alignment. The Marketing & Events Specialist also drives Gifthealth's events-related social media presence and develops thought leadership content for both company channels and attendee amplification on LinkedIn.

We are seeking a Marketing & Events Specialist to partner closely with the commercial team to ensure seamless attendee experiences across a range of event formats, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plans and executes end-to-end events, managing logistics, timelines, vendors, budgets, and on-site coordination to ensure high-quality execution
  • Manages conference sponsorships, including evaluation, negotiation, fulfillment tracking, and ROI measurement through clear dashboards and reporting
  • Owns the events calendar and pipeline, maintaining visibility into upcoming events, deadlines, dependencies, and resource needs across the organization
  • Partners with commercial and sales operations teams to align event strategy with pipeline goals, target accounts, and sales enablement needs
  • Drives social media and content promotion for events, coordinating pre-, during-, and post-event campaigns to maximize reach and engagement
  • Coordinates on-site and pre-event marketing assets, including messaging, collateral, booth materials, and content distribution
  • Conducts post-event reviews and reporting, analyzing performance, identifying learnings, and sharing insights to inform future event strategy and investment decisions
Qualifications
  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (Required)
  • Formal training or coursework in project management, digital marketing, or event management (Preferred)
  • Licensure/Certification: None
  • Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning, marketing, social media, or a closely related role, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple events or projects simultaneously (Required)
  • Experience supporting operational processes in high-growth or scaling organizations (Preferred) 
  • Experience in agency work, healthcare, pharma, or B2B commercial environments (Preferred)
  • Experience with social media scheduling or analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Agorapulse) (Required)
  • Experience building and maintaining conference sponsorship dashboards (Preferred)
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot) for attendee and pipeline coordination (Preferred)
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:  
  • Knowledge of end-to-end event planning and conference logistics across varying event formats and investment levels; social media best practices, with working knowledge of LinkedIn and other relevant platforms for B2B promotion; fundamentals of content development and thought leadership strategy; and sponsorship management processes including deliverable tracking and vendor coordination (Required)
  • Knowledge of commercial and sales operations workflows, including attendee coordination and field team alignment and event ROI measurement frameworks and post-event reporting best practices (Preferred)
  • Project management and multi-event coordination skills (Required)
  • Attention to detail skills (Required)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (Required)
  • Content creation skills, including social media copy and professional thought leadership drafts (Required)
  • Vendor and stakeholder management skills (Required)
  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar for event materials and social content (Required)
  • Ability to manage multiple events and workstreams simultaneously (Required)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and proactively across commercial, marketing, and external stakeholders (Required)
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, event formats, and evolving team needs (Preferred)
  •  Ability to work independently and take ownership of programs with minimal direction (Preferred)
  • Ability to translate commercial goals into compelling event and content strategies (Preferred)

Work Environment

  • Location: On-Site, Remote, or Hybrid
  • Schedule: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday with night and weekend hours on occasion as determined by the needs of the business and travel to conferences and events throughout as required
  • Regular meetings with internal Commercial, Sales Operations, Finance, and Product teams. This role will also regularly interact with attendees of on-site events and conferences.
Key Essential Functions
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while writing or reviewing documentation
  • Must be able to work on a computer for the entire shift
  • Must be able to attend virtual meetings with cross-functional teams
