Job Description
ITTConnect is seeking a DevOps Engineer (Terraform) to work on site for a client in the Columbus, OH area. This is a contract position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services with over 300,000 team members in nearly 50 countries. The end client is in the Utilities sector.
Job location: Columbus, OH or Nashville, TN (both locations would be for on site work)
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong Terraform expertise to support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives across multiple platform areas, including APIM, Kafka, and Oracle GoldenGate.
This role will focus on building, automating, and maintaining scalable infrastructure deployments, working across distributed systems and integration platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform (IaC)
  • Develop reusable Terraform modules and manage state effectively
  • Support infrastructure needs across APIM, Kafka, and Oracle GoldenGate platforms
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes
  • Collaborate with platform and engineering teams to standardize environments
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance and reliability
  • Ensure security and compliance best practices in infrastructure design

Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (modules, state management, workspaces)
  • Solid experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
  • Experience supporting distributed systems or integration platforms
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Ability to work across multiple platforms and teams

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
  • Experience supporting API platforms (APIM) or streaming platforms (Kafka)
  • Exposure to Oracle GoldenGate or data integration tools
  • Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Experience with multi-environment deployments (dev/test/prod)
