Overview:
Job Description Summary:
Oversees the administration and interpretation of psychological tests given to patients and the maintenance of test materials and supplies. Provides supervision for a team of psychometricians.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
  • Administers and scores psychological tests, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, and observes patient behavior. Maintains accurate documentation and communicates results to supervising psychologist.
  • Provides performance observation and feedback for psychometrician staff and trainees. Assists with the coordination of on-boarding training and continuing education.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure the quality of test administration and that assessments meet the needs of various user groups.
  • Manages psychometrician schedules and travels between clinical sites to support program needs.
  • Collaborates on recruitment, interviewing, and selection during the hiring of new psychometrician staff.
  • Oversees the maintenance of test materials and supplies, restocking and ordering tests and test forms as needed, and assists clinical leadership in monitoring budget considerations regarding inventory.

Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, required.
  • Master's degree in psychology or additional graduate course work, preferred.

Licensure Requirement:
Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Skills:
  • Must be able to interact effectively with children of all ages and population.
  • Leadership qualities including strong communication skills, organizational skills, and motivational skills.

Experience:
  • One year of experience as a psychometrician or equivalent, required.
  • Knowledge of test administration, required.
