Role: AMI Project Manager - Utilities

Location:  Columbus, OHIO~

Job Description:

Role Summary
•       Position Title: Project Manager – Utility Technology / Systems Implementation
•       Core Focus: End-to-end delivery of AMI deployments, GIS mapping integrations, and CIS/billing modernizations.
•       Methodology: Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks tailored to regulated utility environments.
Key Responsibilities
•       Project Delivery: Manage project lifecycles from planning and vendor selection to testing, cutover, and post-production support.
•       AMI Management: Oversee smart meter rollouts, head-end systems (HES), meter data management systems (MDMS), and field deployment logistics.
•       GIS & CIS Integration: Coordinate geospatial mapping updates and align customer billing, CRM, and financial workflows.
•       Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination: Bridge communication gaps between IT, field operations, executive leadership, and third-party software vendors.
•       Risk & Governance: Track project key performance indicators (KPIs), manage change control processes, and mitigate operational risks.
Qualifications & Requirements
•       Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
•       Experience: 5+ years of IT or technical project management experience, specifically within water, gas, or electric utilities.
•       Technical Fluency: Familiarity with enterprise platforms (e.g., Oracle Utilities, SAP IS-U, Tyler Technologies, Esri ArcGIS).
•       Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) preferred
