Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-week Contract – Springfield, OH (45504)

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
  • Location: Springfield, OH 45504 (Springfield, Ohio / Ohio nursing jobs)
  • Setting: 30-bed ICU (MICU, SICU, some Neuro patients; non-trauma unit)
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 15, 2026 – September 14, 2026)
  • Shift: 12-hour nights
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Employment Type: Travel (travel nurse / ICU travel nurse)
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years of ICU / critical care nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Current RN license in Ohio or compact state (Ohio RN licensure)
  • BLS required (must obtain prior to direct patient care)
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire
  • Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available)
  • EPIC EHR experience preferred (electronic health record experience)
  • Preferred experience with LVOs, EVDs, lumbar drains, Swan-Ganz catheters, IABP, Impella, CRRT
  • Specialty certifications preferred: CCRN, PCCN, RN-BC, TCRN, NIH Stroke certification
  • Must wear navy blue scrubs
  • Position is for travel nurses; this posting will not accept local candidates
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments for critically ill adults in MICU/SICU and neuro patients
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care for ICU patients
  • Administer medications safely and accurately; manage complex medication regimens
  • Coordinate patient care and act as primary point of contact for families and interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide nursing care for life-supporting technologies: ventilator management, CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO as applicable
  • Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications for unstable patients
  • Manage vascular access, lines, drains, and devices (arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, ports)
  • Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and emergency situations
  • Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and other clinical staff to optimize outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in the ICU
