Job description

necoTECH is seeking an experienced and reliable Asphalt Plant Manager to join our team in Columbus,

Ohio. The ideal candidate brings hands-on knowledge of asphalt plant operations, a strong mechanical

aptitude, and the ability to support and lead day-to-day plant activities safely and efficiently. If you have the experience and drive to be part of something truly innovative, we want to hear from you.


This is not a traditional asphalt plant. necoTECH is a developmental operation at the forefront of sustainable paving technology — actively refining a proprietary process to produce 100% recycled asphalt. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in bringing a groundbreaking technology to life.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production

• Support the ongoing development and refinement of necoTECH's recycled asphalt process

• Monitor plant equipment and machinery, performing routine inspections and maintenance

• Coordinate with crew members to meet production schedules and project timelines

• Operate and supervise use of loaders, skid steers, and telehandlers as needed

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime

• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations

• Maintain production records and report on plant performance


REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working at an asphalt plant — required

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment

• Ability to work a flexible schedule — hours will vary based on operational needs

• Dependable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player

• Openness to working in a developmental, fast-evolving environment


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior plant manager or supervisory experience in an asphalt or related environment

• Experience operating loaders, skid steers, and/or telehandlers

• Familiarity with asphalt mix designs, quality control, and production targets
