The Plant Operator will be responsible for the fulfillment and completion of day-to-day operations. Engage in the safe handling of Anhydrous Ammonia and Ammonium Hydroxide processes and applications to support Airgas consumers. Maintains a neat, clean, and professional personal appearance, and ensures the facility meets the professional standards of care set forth by Airgas. Listens to and addresses service inquiries and feedback to foster understanding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Bulk cargo tank loading/unloading/evacuation (anhydrous ammonia/ammonium hydroxide)
  • Plant maintenance for all aspects of the facility to ensure an excellent environment.
  • Truck and trailer maintenance including pump rebuilds and all other process components.
  • Cold Flo sampling (anhydrous ammonia).
  • Production, testing and date recording of ammonium hydroxide.
  • Daily inventory/monitoring of products.
  • Data recording and interpreting to advance operational goals.
  • Ensure all safety guidelines are upheld with excellence.
  • Complete plant inspections and hose inspections with attention to detail.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
  • Knowledge of the area and ability to lift 60 lbs required.
  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work overtime if necessary.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
  • Must have basic computer experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Commercial Driver License (CDL)
