Job description

Nurse Practitioner (NP) 
Location: Marysville, OH
Duration: 3 Months (Potential Extension)
Schedule: Part-Time | Day Shift
Hours: 20 Hours per Week
Shift Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Weekdays Only)
Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care services within a correctional healthcare setting. This role involves managing acute and chronic medical conditions, conducting assessments, providing treatment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care.
This is a weekday-only opportunity with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. The assignment is expected to last approximately three months and may be extended based on operational needs and performance.
Required Qualifications
•    Master's Degree in Nursing
•    Active Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Ohio
•    Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)
•    Minimum of 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience in:
o    Primary Care, or
o    Hospital Medicine
•    Current BLS/CPR Certification
•    Board Certification (ANCC or equivalent)
•    Active DEA Certification
Responsibilities
•    Manage and monitor patients with chronic and acute medical conditions.
•    Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments.
•    Diagnose illnesses and develop treatment plans within the scope of practice.
•    Prescribe medications and administer treatments as appropriate.
•    Provide immunizations and preventive healthcare services.
•    Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical studies.
•    Evaluate the need for specialty referrals and coordinate follow-up care.
•    Deliver routine and urgent medical care.
•    Conduct patient rounds and follow-up evaluations as needed.
•    Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
•    Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
•    Participate in quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
