Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Technician (Packaging & Inspection)
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support packaging, inspection, and serialization equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical troubleshooting and repairs on packaging and inspection equipment
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform root-cause analysis on the shop floor
  • Support equipment changeovers, adjustments, and minor modifications
  • Maintain vision inspection and serialization systems (cameras, sensors, printers, scanners, etc.)
  • Work with PLC-controlled equipment to respond to alarms and perform basic recovery actions
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, FDA, and site SOPs
  • Document maintenance work, repairs, and corrective actions accurately
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams for smooth operations

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in maintenance within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or medical device environments
  • Strong knowledge of packaging equipment (conveyors, labelers, cartoners, vision systems, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of PLC-based systems and serialization/vision inspection tools
  • Ability to read technical manuals and mechanical/electrical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good documentation and communication skills
  • Familiarity with GMP/FDA regulated environments
