JOB DESCRIPTION

Data can be a growth engine when it's trusted, discoverable, and built with clear outcomes in mind.  In this role, you'll lead the end-to-end data strategy for Home Lending Originations - aligning partners across Product, Data, and Technology to deliver data products that improve how we serve customers. You'll help set direction, create clarity, and drive measurable results while strengthening governance, controls, and compliance. If you thrive in cross-functional environments and enjoy turning complex data into simple, durable capabilities, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Job summary

As a Data Owner Lead in Home Lending Originations, you will shape and drive the data strategy end-to-end - translating business outcomes into durable roadmaps, operating models, and measurable results.
You'll be accountable for delivering data products that are discoverable, reliable, secure, and analytics-ready, while ensuring the data is understood and used to maximize business value. You'll partner closely with data producers and data consumers to strengthen integration into analytics platforms and improve decision-making. You will proactively manage data risks across the lifecycle in line with required policies, standards, and control expectations. You'll help build a culture where data is treated as a product - owned, governed, and continuously improved.

You will sit at the intersection of Product, Data, and Technology, leading executive alignment and driving delivery across multiple stakeholders.

Success in this role means balancing speed and rigor: moving teams toward outcomes while raising the bar on data quality, governance, and operational resilience. You'll bring a strategic mindset and a practical approach - helping teams prioritize what matters most and delivering improvements that are visible to the business.

Job responsibilities

  • Define and drive the Home Lending Originations data strategy and data product roadmap end-to-end
  • Translate business outcomes into clear data product requirements, delivery plans, and measurable success metrics
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data is understood, integrated into analytics platforms, and used effectively to maximize business value
  • Curate and harmonize data from multiple sources to improve consistency, usability, and insight generation
  • Establish and enforce governance practices that improve discoverability, reliability, security, and analytics readiness of delivered data
  • Manage data risks and ensure adherence to required risk, control, and compliance expectations across the data lifecycle
  • Drive adoption of modern data standards and continuous improvement of data quality and operational processes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Six years of related experience in data product leadership, data management, data governance, or data platform delivery
  • Demonstrated expertise in data warehousing, data integration, data management, governance, business intelligence, and machine learning concepts
  • Demonstrated experience curating and integrating data from multiple sources to improve business outcomes
  • Strong understanding of business products, processes, and associated data
  • Demonstrated experience operating within risk and control requirements and delivering well-governed data products
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and communication skills, including executive-level alignment
  • Strong Home Lending Originations business acumen with a strategic, outcomes-driven mindset

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Hadoop and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies and services
  • Proficiency with query or analytical programming languages and tools (e.g., SQL, Athena)
