Job description

Are you the onโ€‘site leader who turns cabling designs into reliable networks?

Do you thrive coordinating multiple crews? Can you keep milestones on track while upholding safety and quality? Are you fluent in copper and fiber installs and comfortable coaching Leads to their best work? If so, this Field Operations Foreman role is for you.

Your impact from week one
  • Own the schedule on siteโ€”work from the Project Managerโ€™s plan, attend weekly syncs, and submit weekly Lead updates.
  • Direct daily execution: manage labor, align productivity with milestones, and ensure safety standards are met at all times.
  • Partner with Field Engineers and other trades to sequence tasks and clear roadblocks.
  • Confirm materials are available and correct for each phase of the build.
  • Walk completed work with the QA/QC Specialist prior to Field Engineer reviews to confirm customer standards are met.
  • Guide Leadsโ€”understand strengths, spot gaps, and recommend training while enforcing customer rules and processes.
  • Support both new deployments and live production site needs; help teams adopt new tech, vendors, and software with PM support.
  • Join customer design/build review meetings as requested.
What youโ€™ll be accountable for
  • Tracking quality, efficiency, delivery, and validating project data.
  • Controlling manpower across assigned projects and forecasting labor units.
  • Maintaining complete documentationโ€”build records, team paperwork, and Lessons Learned.
What sets you up for success
  • 5+ years preferred in lowโ€‘voltage/structured cabling and rack infrastructure, leading largeโ€‘scale builds.
  • Ability to run midsize to large projects and lead multiple crews in a fastโ€‘moving environment.
  • Skilled with drawings/blueprints and portmaps; strong understanding of infrastructure components.
  • Handsโ€‘on expertise with copper and fiber installation, terminations, certifications, and troubleshooting.
  • Certifications: CFTT and CFI, or equivalent (BICSI or FOA).
  • Customerโ€‘first mindset; knowledge of regional installation standards and codes.
  • Proven leadership, clear communication, and diligence with paperwork and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Solid grasp of safety requirements and points of contact.
Physical aspects of the job
  • Walk, stand, and bend for extended periods; occasional sitting.
  • Communicate clearly via verbal, written, visual, and listening channels.
  • Use hands/fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer peripherals.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds; pull cables; climb ladders; work at elevation.
