Job description

The Human Resources Department Intern will gain practical, hands-on experience supporting the daily operations of a professional Human Resources department within a community behavioral health organization. The internship is designed to provide exposure to the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, benefits, personnel records organization as well as the associated administrative tasks.

The intern will work closely with HR leadership and staff and will have the opportunity to observe how Human Resources policies and employment laws are applied in real-world workplace situations. The intern will be expected to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate professionalism, and handle employee information appropriately.

This position will report during the course of the workweek defined as Monday-Friday, 8a-5p. Hours can be flexible to accommodate class schedule. Rate of pay is $18/hourly.
