Essential Functions As a 911 Dispatcher, you are the vital link between the public and emergency responders. You will: Operate 9-1-1 emergency systems and screen incoming calls Dispatch police, fire, and EMS personnel to calls for service Provide medical, fire, and law enforcement advisement to callers Collect and relay critical real-time information during emergencies Operate two-way radio, LEADS/NCIC systems, GIS mapping tools, CCTV, and alarm monitoring systems Coordinate on-scene activity and support hospital, wrecker, and utility notifications Maintain accurate records, logs, and sensitive documentation Assist with training new team members Deliver professional customer service to the public and partner agencies You'll move quickly between tasks, manage multiple information streams, and make informed decisions - often without direct supervision.
