Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray)

Hourly Salary: $33 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist specializing in X-ray imaging to join our healthcare team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care, and collaborating with medical professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Conduct X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring the highest quality of images while adhering to established safety protocols and radiation protection standards.
  • Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
  • Image Evaluation: Review and assess the quality of images to determine if they meet diagnostic requirements; retake images if necessary.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely. Report any malfunctions or required repairs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss and interpret X-ray results, ensuring accurate diagnoses.
  • Documentation: Accurately record patient information, procedures performed, and image results in the hospital's electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Compliance: Follow all regulatory and hospital guidelines regarding radiologic procedures, including infection control and patient privacy (HIPAA).
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Certification: Valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography.
  • Licensure: Current Ohio state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in operating X-ray equipment, strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
