This role is responsible for scheduling actual production requirements—such as aligning output to customer demand (e.g., “Honda needs X seats by X date”). Ideal candidates come from a high-volume manufacturing environment (automotive preferred but not required) or have strong analytical/data systems skills and the ability to transition into production scheduling. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing operations.

● Experience working in high-volume manufacturing (automotive a plus, not required)

● Strong analytical skills; ability to work with data, spreadsheets, and systems

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)

● Experience with ERP systems (QAD preferred but not required)

● Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines

● Ability to work in an open/shared office environment

● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

● Experience in production scheduling, forecasting, or materials planning

● Background coordinating actual production output against customer demand

● Familiarity with supplier management, logistics, and freight coordination

● Knowledge of QMS/EMS audits, Corporate Governance, and JSOX compliance

● Experience supporting new model launches or engineering change management

● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive corrective actions

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

● Schedule actual production quantities based on customer requirements (e.g., meeting OEM demand deadlines)

● Generate and issue supplier forecasts for material planning

● Create, issue, and track material releases using Excel and/or QAD

● Maintain purchased parts data and verify delivery timeliness and accuracy

● Collaborate with Material Service and cross-functional teams on part-related issues

● Track part problems, initiate corrective actions, and monitor supplier performance

● Manage raw material inventory levels and participate in physical inventory counts

● Communicate critical part shortages, design changes, or schedule adjustments

● Support new model startup activities, including part ordering and follow-up

● Manage build-out activity to minimize excess or dead stock

● Track design changes (CIF updates, plot files, cost confirmation, delivery timing)

● Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies

● Monitor packaging, offsite asset controls, and supplier capacity

● Verify new model forecasts and ordering file accuracy against BOMs

● Coordinate freight logistics to ensure timely pickup and delivery

● Maintain administrative documentation, emails, and filing

● Uphold 5S standards and clean work area

● Support QMS/EMS, Corporate Governance, and JSOX compliance

● Perform additional duties as assigned
