Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years experience and ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification for a pediatric hospital setting.

Details
  • Pediatric echo/cardiac sonography position covering main campus and 4 offsite Close to Home locations (Lewis Center, Dublin, Westerville, Canal Winchester)
  • Assigned to one location per day with no travel between sites during a shift
  • Patient ratio of 1:7
  • Day shift, Monday to Friday, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • No call, holiday, or weekend coverage required
  • Siemens charting system experience preferred
  • Equipment used includes GE and Philips ultrasound systems
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
  • ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification required
  • ARDMS RDCS PE or RDCS certification required; RDCS AE and RDCS FE preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Proficiency in pediatric echo, 2-D echo, color doppler, continuous wave doppler, pulsed wave doppler, and routine scanning
  • Experience with M-mode and portable studies preferred
  • Experience scanning complex anomalies and post-surgical repairs preferred
  • Experience with pediatric anomalies including coarctation of the aorta, pulmonary venous return anomalies, tetralogy of fallot, and transposition of the great vessels required
  • Experience with aortic arch abnormalities/vascular ring, coronary artery anomalies, double outlet ventricle, hypoplastic heart syndrome, and bubble studies preferred
  • Experience in fetal echocardiography, ICU, and pediatric outpatient settings
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
Additional Information
  • Must be prepared to float to different units depending on assignment needs
  • Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years
  • Local candidates are not accepted; a 60-mile radius rule applies
  • First-time travelers are not considered for this position
  • Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager or supervisor
