We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Float Pool Supervisor, Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the daily operations of our outpatient nursing float pool. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with staff supervision to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care across multiple ambulatory care settings. The Float Pool Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of an assigned outpatient nursing float pool. This role is responsible for staff supervision, scheduling, training, performance management, and maintaining clinical competencies. The supervisor collaborates closely with clinic leadership, providers, and safety teams to ensure excellent patient care delivery and operational effectiveness.
 
Leadership & Staff Management
  • Interview, hire, train, onboard, and mentor nursing staff.
  • Assign and schedule work to ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Manage payroll, attendance, and time-off requests.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.
  • Address performance concerns and collaborate with leadership on corrective actions when necessary. [RN Float P...Nurse (RN) | Word]
Clinical Operations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for clinical skills training and patient services.
  • Provide in-service education, coaching, and precepting for staff.
  • Identify and escalate high-priority patient concerns using appropriate communication channels.
  • Support efficient patient flow and collaborate with providers to deliver exceptional patient care.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program. 
  • Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in an ambulatory or outpatient setting.
  • Strong knowledge of patient care standards and clinical best practices.
