Job description

At Advanced Behavioral Therapy, we prioritize the needs of every child and strive to provide the best and most effective treatment available. As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a crucial role in helping children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) improve their communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments for children with ASD
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and collaborate with the ABA team.
• Provide speech therapy sessions to children, including one-on-one and small group sessions.
• Work closely with Behavior Analysts and other team members to integrate speech and language goals with ABA programs.
• Provide parent and caregiver training to enhance communication strategies at home.
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing input and collaborating to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
• Stay current with best practices in speech therapy and behavior analysis.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active and unrestricted license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Ohio
• Active license with the Ohio Department of Education, or willingness to obtain
• Experience working with toddler age children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and methodologies is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time Mon-Fri

Work Location: In-person at our 2 centers (Powell & Reynoldsburg OH)
