Schedule: Week 1 - 10am-10pm Sunday-Tuesday 36 hours

Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

DTAC (Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers) is expanding—and we’re looking for a compassionate, skilled Registered Nurse (RN) who is passionate about helping adolescents heal and thrive.

In this role, you’ll work in a Male Adolescent Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) supporting youth ages 11–17 with complex behavioral health needs. This is more than a nursing position—it’s an opportunity to create lasting change in the lives of young people through trauma-informed, therapeutic care.

Why You’ll Love This Role

✔ Competitive hourly pay ($34–$48/hr)
✔ Meaningful, mission-driven work
✔ Collaborative, supportive team environment
✔ Opportunities for growth and advancement
✔ Direct impact on youth and families

What You’ll Do

Clinical & Nursing Care

  • Perform health assessments (vitals, injuries, behavioral and psychiatric symptoms)
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
  • Monitor for medication effectiveness and side effects
  • Document thoroughly in EMR (MARs, nursing notes, PRNs, incidents, etc.)
  • Coordinate care with providers, pharmacies, and outside medical services

Behavioral Health & Therapeutic Support

  • Help maintain a structured, trauma-informed environment
  • Provide education on wellness, medication, hygiene, and coping skills
  • Support individualized treatment plans with the clinical team

Crisis Response & Safety

  • Respond to behavioral and medical emergencies
  • Use de-escalation techniques and clinical judgment under pressure
  • Monitor for safety risks (self-harm, aggression, environmental concerns)
  • Ensure proper protocols and safety procedures are followed

Team Collaboration

  • Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, and discharge planning
  • Support and guide direct care staff on medical-related matters
  • Communicate effectively across shifts and departments

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain compliance with state regulations, Medicaid standards, and agency policies
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical nursing standards

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
  • Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
  • CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Preferred Experience

  • Adolescent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
  • Residential treatment or crisis stabilization
  • Trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques
  • Working with high-acuity youth populations

What Success Looks Like

  • Accurate, timely documentation and medication administration
  • Strong compliance with clinical and safety standards
  • Positive contributions to a safe, structured, therapeutic environment
  • Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
