You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the systems that power our imaging data marketplace and enable healthcare innovation at scale. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who thrives in an early-stage environment, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and takes ownership of outcomes. Beyond technical expertise, we're looking for someone who embraces collaboration, continuous learning, and helping cultivate a positive engineering culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Software Development & Architecture Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications using Elixir and Python.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term platform strategy.

  • Take ownership of projects from concept through deployment and ongoing support.

  • Lead technical initiatives with minimal supervision while driving high-quality outcomes.

  • Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices, code quality, and development standards.

  • Help establish scalable processes and frameworks that support company growth.

  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the engineering stack.

  • Contribute to a culture of experimentation, learning, and technical excellence.

  • Support a startup mindset by flexing across functions and helping solve challenges wherever needed.

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

  • Proven experience building and deploying production-grade applications using Elixir and/or Python.

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and development best practices.

  • Experience developing and maintaining scalable distributed systems.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects and manage competing priorities.

  • Passion for continuous learning and staying current with evolving technologies.

Preferred

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases.

  • Previous experience mentoring engineers or serving in a technical leadership capacity.

  • Experience working within healthcare technology, health data, medical imaging, or regulated environments.

  • Familiarity with data-intensive applications, APIs, and large-scale platform development.
