Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations to assess health issues and identify appropriate acupuncture treatment strategies.
• Implement acupuncture sessions tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on both local treatments for acute injuries and extensive health conditions.
• Utilize additional techniques such as cupping, electro-acupuncture, and trigger point acupuncture as part of a holistic treatment plan.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to devise and execute coordinated care plans that benefit the patient population.
• Educate patients about acupuncture procedures, addressing concerns and ensuring their comfort before, during, and after treatment.
• Participate actively in staff development through mentoring and educational initiatives that promote advanced clinical practices among team members.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical billing and insurance requirements to support seamless care delivery.
• Demonstrate strong palpation abilities and knowledge of anatomy to identify specific treatment points on patients’ bodies effectively.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in acupuncture practice is essential.
• Educational requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Acupuncture or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge in differential diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Punctuality and effective time management skills to ensure appointments run smoothly.
• Physical capability to perform job duties, including frequent movement and lifting of items up to 10 pounds.
• Good vision, including close vision and depth perception.

Preferred Experience

• Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in sports medicine acupuncture or trigger point acupuncture are highly valued.
• Certification or expertise in a specific subspecialty area of acupuncture is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of medical billing processes to facilitate patient services effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
