This position is based at our outpatient office where you will engage directly with patients in a warm and inviting setting. As a full-time member of our staff, you will have the flexibility of choosing your hours, such as 4-hour or 8-hour shifts, enhancing work-life balance while allowing for personal growth in the practice of acupuncture.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments to evaluate various health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Administer acupuncture treatments focusing on acupuncture points related to the patient's specific health needs.
• Utilize techniques such as cupping and electro-acupuncture, along with trigger point acupuncture and dry needling, to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the practice to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, integrating acupuncture into multidisciplinary treatment plans.
• Engage in mentoring activities, providing guidance and educational support to other staff members.
• Educate patients about the principles and practices of acupuncture and alternative medicine, ensuring they are informed and comfortable with their treatment process.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining treatment protocols, expectations, and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records while adhering to all healthcare regulations related to privacy and ethics.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Acupuncture or related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of experience in an acupuncture practice, demonstrating clinical expertise and an extensive understanding of differential diagnosis.
• Possession of a valid acupuncture license in the state of Florida.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect and build relationships with patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Proven ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple patient appointments while maintaining high-quality care.

Preferred Experience

• Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in sports medicine acupuncture or trigger point acupuncture are preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems to manage patient information accurately.
• Knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes will enhance the patient experience.
• Specialization or certification in any subspecialty area of acupuncture is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $20.00 to $75.00, commensurate with experience, plus bonuses. Elixir Acupuncture Center provides a supportive environment that encourages staff development.
