Work Environment

This role requires you to work onsite with patients in their homes, a setting that allows for personalized therapy plans in a familiar environment. You will have the flexibility to arrange your own schedule, with a workweek that typically spans from Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical status and needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercise regimens, stretching, manual therapy, and advanced modalities to help alleviate pain and improve mobility.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously by tracking and documenting treatment responses, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to meet evolving goals.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families on the utilization of assistive devices and exercises that promote lifelong health and self-management.
• Engage in regular communication with interdisciplinary team members and caregivers to ensure continuity of care and shared understanding of therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge by participating in workshops, being active in professional organizations, and pursuing continuous educational opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population encompasses a diverse range of individuals, from children recovering from surgeries to adults rehabilitating from injuries or chronic conditions. This role requires empathy and adaptability to tailor treatment approaches to each patient's unique circumstances and health challenges. Having the ability to connect with patients of all ages while delivering effective therapy interventions is crucial for fostering trust and encouraging patient compliance.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in the State of Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in document management and computer systems.
• Demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy, specifically in a home care setting, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous engagement with interdisciplinary teams, enhancing collaborative treatment approaches across healthcare disciplines.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 - 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with an extensive benefits package.
