This position offers the opportunity to join a dedicated team of dental professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Full-Time Hygienist with our office, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality dental care to our patients.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional oral health services, including preventive care, oral hygiene management, and patient education, aimed at maintaining optimal dental health. At Olentangy Modern Dental, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and patient-centered care, offering a perfect platform for a skilled hygienist to advance their career.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform initial dental assessments and evaluate patient oral health history.
  • Deliver top-notch hygiene care with a gentle touch and a big heart.
  • Conduct oral health treatments such as scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis.
  • Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., fluorides, SDF).
  • Take dental radiographs
  • Take digital scans
  • Assess the results of dental treatments and plan for future dental care.
  • Build genuine relationships with patients, becoming their favorite part of coming in.
  • Educate and empower patients on maintaining optimal oral health and hygiene practices.
  • Collaborate with dentists to plan for patient dental treatment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated with the latest in dental hygiene technology and procedures.
  • Document treatment plans and care performed within the patients’ records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Requirements
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
  • Current dental hygienist licensure in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dental hygiene procedures, protocols, and techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients and team members.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience with digital radiography and Open Dental preferred.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
  • Ability to comply with local, state, and federal regulations relating to OSHA, HIPAA, and safety practices.
  • Empathetic and compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Availability to work full-time hours.

Monday: 9-5

Tuesday: 9-5

Thursday: 8-4

Friday: 8-3
