Health System Informatics Senior Analyst

Job Description

Serves as the primary contributor and consultant for patient care services in the planning, design, development, implementation, functionality, and evaluation of integrated health information systems that support and enhance practice, administrative and management needs, as well as patient outcomes. Acts as the principal resource with health system knowledge and computer expertise to coordinate and provide support for all new and current applications and software upgrades applicable to the health system. Responsible for the analysis, design, testing, and implementation of complex health information systems and solutions. Prepares detailed specifications, conducts assessments of the health system environment, identifies implications for system implementations, and acts as a facilitator for those changes within the health system environment. Conducts independent research and fact-finding to develop or modify system solutions of a highly complex nature. Advises on end‑user training for health system applications to ensure understanding of functionality, including the development and design of training programs. Evaluates and recommends application acquisitions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required, along with four years of experience in Information Technology (preferably within Health System Operations), including a blend of clinical and IT experience.
  • Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system knowledge is required, with Epic certification in Clinical Documentation, ASAP, and/or Reporting.
  • A strong reporting background is preferred.
