Job description

Wanted: Experienced Service Technician at the Urbana Ohio Location.


Paul Martin & Sons is a growing, leading, independent farm equipment dealership group located in Ohio. Family owned for 2 generations, Paul Martin & Sons sells and services planting, application, harvest, tillage and hay & forage equipment from highly recognizable brands, servicing a large and diverse customer base. Paul Martin & Sons provides a clean and safe family business environment. Paul Martin & Sons is a two location dealership with stores in Urbana and Napoleon.


Our continuing growth has created a need for a self-starting and knowledgeable service technician. The successful candidate will be flexible with solving day to day challenges. Projects might include overhauling a tractor engine in the shop one week and troubleshooting a customer’s sprayer electronic problem in the field the next week. Supervision and oversight of company service jobs and projects is required for those seeking higher pay for this position. Paid training will be required and provided by Paul Martin and Sons and our vendors for specific product knowledge. Some travel will be necessary for manufacturer provided training.


This position requires an intermediate to advanced level technician that is proficient in the following areas:

-Hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair

-Electrical systems troubleshooting and repair

-Electronic systems troubleshooting, including the use of electronic service tools

-Perform quality welding repair and fabricating

-Professional customer service

-High level and effective problem solving

-Physical labor such as repeated heavy lifting and machine assembly

-Leading coworkers on jobs, at the store or in the field

-Ability to use digital and online materials to aid in diagnostics and repair. (Hydraulic, Electrical, and Fluid Plumbing Schematics.)

-Ability to keep a clean and organized work area

-Diesel and Gas engine maintenance and repair


Successful candidate must have a clean and valid driver’s license, be able to pass a drug test, and have basic tools.


Overtime hours during spring planting and fall harvest will be mandatory.


CDL a bonus. Farm experience a bonus.
