Job description

Capital University is seeking part-time (adjunct) undergraduate and MBA instructors to teach in our School of Management and Leadership in the following subject areas: accounting, business management, data analytics, ethics, finance, management information systems, marketing, professional development, operations and logistics, sport business, strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in-person or in a hybrid format. In-person teaching on the Bexley, Ohio campus is required for most courses.
  • Prepare and deliver course materials, assignments, and assessments to achieve program learning outcomes
  • Be current with industry trends and innovations to enrich course content.
  • Effectively utilize appropriate instructional technology, including the learning management system (Canvas), classroom technology, and other business and university software and systems.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering a collaborative and engaging learning environment with a commitment to student success.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited institution. Doctorate preferred.
  • Significant professional experience with demonstrated record of success in relevant subject area.
  • Evidence of effective teaching skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and helping students succeed.
  • Experience implementing course materials in a learning management system such as Canvas is preferred but not required.
