Brief Summary of Direct Support Professionals (DSP's):
  • DSP's teach, supervise and direct individuals with developmental disabilities in the activities of daily living.
  • DSP's are similar to Home Health Aides, you would assist with feeding, clothing, toileting, and other hygiene needs.
  • DSP's Assist in providing self-care training in areas such as cooking, housekeeping, or hygienic practices.
  • DSP's administer medications as ordered and document the delivery of each.
  • DSP's transport individuals in personal vehicle on scheduled outings and activities in order to promote community inclusion.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License & Auto Insurance
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Reliable Transportation

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Pay: $11.50-14/hr depending on experience
