Job description

Accenture is a leading solutions and services company that helps the world's leading enterprises reinvent by building their digital core and unleashing the power of AI to create value at speed across the enterprise, bringing together the talent of our approximately 786,000 people, our proprietary assets and platforms, and deep ecosystem relationships. Our strategy is to be the reinvention partner of choice for our clients and to be the most client-focused, AI-enabled, great place to work in the world. Through our Reinvention Services we bring together our capabilities across strategy, consulting, technology, operations, Song and Industry X with our deep industry expertise to create and deliver solutions and services for our clients. Our purpose is to deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity, and we measure our success by the 360 value we create for all our stakeholders. Visit us at accenture.com.

About Macro Foresight

Macro Foresight is part of Accenture's CEO Advisory business. We work with CEOs and boards on enterprise-wide strategy and reinvention, helping them perform, protect, and grow. Within that, we are the team that anticipates disruption and volatility: we help clients read the external environment-economic, geopolitical, and financial-and build long-term strategies for competitiveness and resilience. Our footprint is global, with hubs in North America, Europe, and Asia.

In the past two years we've helped leaders respond to the highest US tariffs in a century, energy and supply shocks around the Strait of Hormuz, two-speed economies, and the reordering of global trade around industrial policy and AI.

What we do:

The work we deliver for clients' centers on a set of CEO- and board-level offerings:

  • Economic and geopolitical impact assessments. AI-accelerated analysis of how macro and geopolitical shifts affect a business, a market, or a major investment.

  • Scenario planning and wargaming. AI-enabled planning and table-top wargaming that test a strategy against a range of possible futures.

  • Decision intelligence. Enterprise-wide decision support that reaches beyond macro and geopolitics into portfolio strategy, competition, consumer trends, and business performance.

  • Strategic foresight and long-range planning. Structured futures assessments and long-range portfolio planning.

  • Enterprise resilience assessments. CEO- and board-level diagnostics that measure and strengthen an organization's resilience to shocks.

  • Foresight capability enablement. Helping clients build their own capability across people, process, and technology.

Who we are:

We hire for a few different profiles, and many people here bring more than one:

  • Economists and geopolitical experts who read the real economy, financial and commodity markets, and the interplay of policy, trade, and security, and apply it to a client's business context.

  • Strategists who translate complex analysis into recommendations a leadership team can act on.

  • Entrepreneurial people who grow teams and develop those who join after them.

  • AI engineers who code, build models, and put large language models and AI agents to work. We're actively hiring for this.

  • People who work well with ambiguity, set their own direction, and want to help build new offerings like scenario planning, wargaming, and foresight.

You'll advise companies and boards as AI and economic and geopolitical forces reshape the global business landscape. You will work across industries and functional domains and help shape the executive decisions that move markets.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver client engagements. Own a workstream from the first framing of the question through to the recommendation and stay with it as the client executes.

  • Work as part of a team. Deliver on small engagement teams, learn from senior colleagues, and help develop those who join after you.

  • Build the analysis behind the advice. Create the models, scenarios, dashboards, and data pipelines that turn raw data into clear answers.

  • Put AI to work. Use large language models and AI agents to speed up monitoring, research, and scenario analysis on live projects.

  • Help develop our offerings and platform. Work with Accenture's AI engineering teams to turn scenario planning, wargaming, and decision intelligence into productized, AI-enabled services, and to develop our AI Foresight platform.

  • Sharpen our thinking between engagements. Alongside the client work, contribute to our monthly macro briefs and thought leadership, with the chance over time to publish under your own name.

  • Travel as needed

Here's what you need:

  • Minimum 2 years delivering strategy, economics, or advisory work in consulting, corporate development, investment, or research. Including:

    • A track record of delivering on client work: running a workstream in a team, hitting deadlines, and holding your own with a client.

    • The ability to turn analysis into a decision, drawing out what macro and company data mean for a client's business.

    • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to redesign and accelerate workflows, improve research and analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance project delivery.

  • A bachelor's degree

What will make you stand out:

  • A graduate degree in economics, finance, public policy, international relations, or management (or an MBA), or an advanced quantitative, computational, data science, or engineering background.

  • Curiosity about macro and geopolitics, with a strong grasp of how the real economy connects to markets, sectors, and regions

  • Experience with our core offerings: scenario planning, economic impact assessments, or foresight.

  • AI and engineering depth, with priority given to developing AI-enabled analytical solutions: coding in Python and/or R, building models, dashboards, or data pipelines, and applying LLMs and AI agents to analytical workflows.

  • Experience communicating with and advising C-suite or board audiences, or depth in a specific industry or region's political economy.

  • Familiarity with tools like Python, R, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau, or econometrics packages such as Stata or EViews.
