Job description

Our client is a leading Midwest Construction firm that is employee owned and has extensive experience across market-rate multifamily, mixed-use, affordable housing, and senior living, along with commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial construction.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts
  • Manage subcontractor bidding, buyout, contracts, and performance
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Monitor project costs and identify potential budget or schedule issues
  • Lead owner and project meetings and provide regular progress updates
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, schedule, and profitability expectations
  • Oversee project closeout, punch lists, turnover, and final documentation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience specifically with multifamily projects
  • Proven experience managing ground-up apartment, mixed-use, senior living, or similar multifamily developments
  • Strong understanding of multifamily construction sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
  • Experience managing project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, and change orders
  • Ability to successfully manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
