Job description

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking candidates with a passion for public service to fill a Collections Supervisor position in our Collections Enforcement Section. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The position will be headquartered at 30 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio.
The successful candidate will perform the following supervisory duties while fostering a team environment, which include, but are not limited to:
-Supervises and trains assigned staff.
-Conducts staff meetings.
-Performs monthly phone monitoring and reviews.
-Assists team members with difficult callers and/or accounts.
-Monitors team workflow and assists in work distribution.
-Establishes work procedures and employee performance goals.
-Evaluates record keeping policies and procedures and makes recommendations for improvements.
-Prepares records and reports.
-Works with Information Technology Services (ITS) to troubleshoot issues with business tools.
-Handles sensitive contact with the public.
-Handles varied public relations duties.
-Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Completion of Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related area or equivalent work experience;
P revious supervisory or Team Lead experience;
Proficient with Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a call center environment;
Previous experience with reporting;
Previous experience in a collections or legal environment.
Job skills: customer service, attention to detail, leading others, teamwork, verbal communication, and written communication
