Job description

As the Fixed Income Operations Specialist, you will be uniquely positioned as the operational backbone of the investment sales desk for a premier wholesale financial institution. Unlike high-volume retail call centers, this role focuses on high-touch executive communications and consultative support for credit union C-suite leaders and CFOs.
Use your financial background, attention to detail, and professional communication skills to manage trade support, rate administration, and executive client inquiries while obtaining fully sponsored FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
Who you will be working with
You will join a tight-knit, highly collaborative fixed-income investment desk supporting credit union executive partners across the region.
Our client is a multi-billion-dollar wholesale financial institution dedicated to providing liquidity, investment products, and balance sheet solutions to credit unions. Known for exceptional stability and industry leadership, they offer an environment where employees build long-term careers, supported by strong institutional values and an average employee tenure of over 10 years. Joining this team gives you direct exposure to capital markets operations while working alongside experienced investment professionals.
Major duties
  • Executive Communication & Rate Distribution: Compile and distribute daily rate sheets and fixed-income offering materials directly to credit union CEOs, CFOs, and investment managers.
  • Institutional Desk Support: Serve as a dedicated operational partner to senior investment sales reps, handling trade verification, settlement tracking, and portfolio record updates.
  • Consultative Client Relations: Field high-touch, non-scripted operational inquiries from institutional executive clients via phone and formal written correspondence.
  • Systems & Database Management: Maintain meticulous client interaction records, audit trails, and portfolio data within Salesforce and internal financial platforms.
  • Market & Rate Administration: Utilize proprietary CD issuing software and internal rate platforms (SimpliCD) to compile, update, and distribute daily fixed-income offering sheets directly to credit union CEOs, CFOs, and investment managers.
What are we looking for?
  • Financial Services Background: Professional experience within banking operations, treasury management, trust administration, brokerage support, or wealth management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Licensing: Active SIE, Series 6, 7, 63, or 66 preferred—Series 7 and 63 sponsorship is fully provided for qualified candidates.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and familiarity with core banking, treasury, or CD execution platforms (e.g., SimpliCD, FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry, or Bloomberg exposure is a plus).
  • Core Competencies: High precision under daily market deadlines, strong data accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.

  • Company’s background & eligibility requirements: All employment offers are contingent on the successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check. Applicants must possess work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Client’s benefits: 4 weeks of paid vacation starting in Year 1 + 11 paid official holidays; immediate 6% 401(k) match on 5% employee contribution; full medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; paid parental leave; 100% employer-funded FINRA exam preparation and licensing fees.
