Job description

The Fire Extinguisher Technician plays a crucial role within our in-house team, responsible for ensuring all fire extinguishers are properly inspected, maintained, and repaired. This position requires frequent travel to multiple sites to handle routine maintenance, emergency response, and installation support. Reporting directly to a supervisor, the technician ensures compliance with safety standards and maintains detailed records while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect fire extinguishers to ensure proper function and compliance
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and testing on various fire extinguisher types
  • Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and status
  • Conduct safety checks and report any issues promptly
  • Support emergency response and installation tasks as required

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in fire extinguisher maintenance
  • Certification as a fire extinguisher technician
  • Proficient in fire extinguisher inspection and preventive maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of safety compliance and equipment repair
  • Accurate record keeping and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
