Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Material Handler will maintain warehouse stock, fulfill customer orders, and organize and maintain existing inventory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Review raw material production schedules, pull material, and deliver to individual workstations.
  • Verify incoming material quantity/quality requirements, put away, and complete ERP receipt transactions.
  • Maintains and organizes raw material inventory.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts
  • Collaborate with inventory control to determine when product stock is needed.
  • Pack products to ready them for shipments.
  • Moves goods interdepartmentally utilizing hand trucks and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintains and organizes finished product stock.
  • Operate Forklift within the facility to transport product.

 SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Solid interpersonal skills.
  • Time management/deadline-oriented.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Computer skills.

 EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with a MRP/ERP environment.
  • Hands-on experience with picking, packing, and inventory control.
  • Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software.
  • Forklift Certified a plus, will train if needed.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Move/Lift/Carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing up to 8+ hours per day.
