Job description

Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Manager to maximize plant equipment uptime, lead shift technicians, and drive predictive maintenance across automated manufacturing lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Reliability: Own plant OEE and downtime targets. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring machinery failures.
  • Predictive Maintenance: Shift culture from reactive repairs to data-driven PM/PdM strategies.
  • Off-Shift & Crisis Support: Serve as key technical escalation for off-shift breakdown emergencies and provide guidance to weekend/evening technician crews.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean/Six Sigma tools to reduce scrap rates, optimize cycle times, and support CapEx automation projects.
  • Team Upskilling: Assess technical skill gaps, build structured training programs (PLCs, robotics, vision systems), and mentor staff.
  • Budget & Inventory: Manage MRO spend and ensure critical spare parts inventory to prevent extended outages.

Success Metrics

  • Reduced unplanned downtime and scrap/reject rates.
  • Improved MTBF and MTTR metrics.
  • High PM compliance and training completion rates.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.S. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics (or equivalent hands-on experience + certifications).
  • Experience: 5+ years of maintenance leadership in automated manufacturing (automotive, electronics, packaging, etc.).
  • Automation Tech: Deep expertise in PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi), robotics (FANUC, KUKA, ABB, EPSON), vision, and conveyor systems.
  • Systems & Tools: Proficient in CMMS software and Lean/TPM tools (Kaizen, 5S, FMEA).
  • Leadership: Strong communication, calm under crisis, and a bias for action.
