1st Response Pest Management of Powell, Ohio is looking to hire a full-time entry-level Pest Management Technician to perform residential program services, manage route, and communicate with customers about services. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PEST MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN

As a pest control tech, your primary focus is customer service! You arrive at each client's home or business on time and ready for action. You adhere to all safety requirements, properly utilize equipment and pesticides, and follow all applicable laws and regulations. You feel good about using effective methods and environmentally sensitive products.

Whether performing regular maintenance or tackling challenging issues, you are always patient and more than happy to answer questions. Your calm, helpful demeanor puts clients at ease as you assess any problems and devise a personalized solution. You take pride in your work and keep your equipment and vehicle in proper operating condition at all times. You enjoy interacting with people out in your community every day and get great satisfaction out of helping them safely keep their homes pest-free!


PEST MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS

  • Customer service experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • An acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • First-class customer service skills
  • Able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in cramped spaces (crawl spaces, basements, and attics)
  • Willing and able to obtain a Pest Control Operator's License after training

Prior experience in Pest Control is preferred, but not required. We will train the right person who has the desire to excel in this profession! Do you have excellent people skills? Are you a positive self-starter? Do you have good communication skills? Can you present yourself professionally? Are you friendly and down-to-earth? Can you stare a spider down without flinching? If so, you might just be perfect for this fun customer service position!


PEST MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN WORK SCHEDULE

Our entry-level pest control techs work 40+ hours, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM with the possibility of overtime during peak seasons.
